I know you said you are getting clarification for this. I feel I needed to make a new thread on the off chance that you'd see it and not have it buried in another thread.
you said the devs said that +attack power only affects melee and isn't supposed to affect ranged.
if this is the case, could you ask the devs why besides Trueshot Aura, there aren't any potions/quest rewards/buffs that specifically state +ranged attack power? the Onyxia reward doesn't affect ranged. the rewards for becoming King of Dire Maul don't affect ranged.
please ask the devs why hunters are the only class that has been specifically excluded from recieving attack power buffs.
please relay to the devs that they should really either add a boatload of +ranged attack power buffs or fix a bunch of skills that say just +attack power so they affect +ranged attack power as well.
I really hope this doesn't get buried and you see this, Cay.

Tyranna, I didn't get a specific "why", but they did inform me that they're aware of the lack and they'll be looking into adding more effects along those lines.
