Status: Buffs that do not explicitly state that they give Ranged Attack Power do not, and this is intended. Items that give +Attack Power boost both melee and ranged Attack Power. This is intended. The developers are in discussions on ways to make this more clear to the player."

AWESOME. I can't wait to log my hunter back in and try this out now that it's been fixed! I'm glad this is so clear - only buffs which state explicitly in their description that they affect ranged power affect ranged power... and Battle Shout states it in its description! Top hit in Google even. Wow.
I really knew they'd come through for us eventually!

Does it state it on the tooltip in game? I said previously that I would not count on that page for up to date information. Thank you for pointing out something I need to clarify however. :)
