Cay, in your post you mentioned "debating" our position with the developers so they could understand our position on the dps nerf. So, if you debated, then they must have presented their logic for it.
So, what was it? What did the development team say when you presented our case? What rationale did they give for the dps reduction in the last patch, and I assume they also mentioned the dps reduction in this pathic, along with the pet dps decrease.
So, what did they say?

No, I was speaking in a more general sense. It's Saturday. I have not spoken with the developers about the recent patch yet because they're not here. Our meeting covered the long-term Hunter goals and it was given direction by my questions, not their recent changes, so I was not aware of the patch changes until after the fact.

I am sorry I did not spell it out for you more clearly; I've answered it already in other posts. I did not speak with the developers about the decrease yet. I will on Tuesday.
Again, I was asking the questions. We were working from the amended "List" that is stickied on this forum. They were going down the list and answering the questions posed there -- I am not psychic and cannot ask questions about changes about which I do not know.
I apologize if you feel I have failed you on some level here, but I am honestly doing everything I can. I wish I could go and speak with the developers on this issue right this instant, but I cannot. Be patient and wait for next week, please -- the patch is not live yet.

Please stop drawing more from my words than what I said. I know it's difficult since I'm not giving much in the way of solid Hunter-related information, here, but bear with me and listen.
The meeting was to cover Hunter concerns. The developers answered the questions posed there in the direction of long-term goals for the Hunter class. They did not say "And by the way, there's a change coming in the next patch that may affect Hunter DPS." Perhaps they should have, yes, but that is not something under my control.
As such, no, I do not have answers for you as to why this took place. I will be doing what I can to get those for you this week. I am sorry I do not have them for you today. The developers are not here and calling them at home would not help the situation.[ post edited by Caydiem ]

I explained this before...
Once the meeting happens, I take my notes and write up the results. Then I send it back to the development staff to make certain I have all my facts straight. Once that's done, it goes through PR for language edits and to make sure I can release the information. Once that's done, I can release it to you.
We're not through that process yet.

You spoke to the dev's about the DPS nerf from the first patch. It's 1/3 of the total discussion. During that 1/3 of the meeting, not once did the devs mention anything about nerfing DPS again in the upcoming patch?
I spoke to the developers about the state of the Hunter's DPS. And no, they did not mention the change in this patch.
