Subject: Cav, plz consider at least rolling a hunter
I just found out you don't even play a hunter. Guess it was never an issue before. But it seems like a class advocate should at least experience our concerns & issues first hand.

Er... I have rolled a Hunter. I did so when I started advocating your concerns. I apologize for not having one as my main, but there are only five community team members, and only five "main" characters, therefore. This leaves four classes without someone on our team playing a solid main, which is unfortunate.

I have been playing up a Hunter for a bit now.

I got to level 10 the first day...

You don't play the game as long as I have with as many alts as I have to play and not get at least moderately efficient with the beginning levels. ;)

Bladewolf, not once did I say no one else plays a Hunter as their main here at Blizzard. In QA, all classes are tested. In the development team, all classes are represented as mains there. I was referring to the Community Team alone.

Q u o t e:
HAHAHAHAHA Even the community team members don't want a hunter in their group!!!!!!

Let me guess what your 5 classes are, I'm going to say shaman, rogue, mage, warrior, priest?

Please tell me I am right! That would just make my week.

Togashi, we don't group. In fact, we're all on different realms (some on PvP, some on PvE), scattered among Alliance and Horde, etc.

I group regularly with one or two Hunters depending on the night.

And no, you're not right. :P

I am not expecting a medal or anything from you folks about playing a Hunter, here. I was asked, I answered. Some folks mocked me, I responded to them with the facts of the situation.

No, there are no class repeats when it comes to the mains of the Community Team. We all play different classes.

I can roll up a level 60 Hunter myself on an internal realm, but that will not help me in the long run. It won't help me understand the irritation behind levelling up a lower level pet. It won't help me grasp the dynamics of taming pets to get more abilities -- some of which are in instances alone. It certainly won't help me understand the group, raid or PvP dynamics, since I cannot have a level 60 made for me on a live realm.

It takes time to level up a character, especially when I have other things to test and experience as well, but I am doing it for you folks.

Ellesar, I am the Assistant Community Manager here at Blizzard. Being Hunter and Druid advocate are just two duties in a long list, and at times they take lower priority to whatever project I'm asked to tackle.

Obviously if Hunter Advocate were my only job, I would probably be level 60 by now. ;) But unfortunately I'm not -- still under 30 (only just) -- and while I'm working to remedy that, I have many other things to attend to.

Folks... as I have said time and again, I do not base my feedback to the developers on my experiences. I do not go into the room and, upon the prompt to speak about Hunters, say, "Well, gee, my Hunter was fine in Dun Morogh, so I don't think they have any problems. In fact, I think they're too powerful!" Please, give me more credit than that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- because my main isn't level 60 and thus does not experience what you do, I need you to work with me and be constructive all the more. It is YOUR feedback I pass to the developers, not my own.

Q u o t e:
Yes, but if you personally experienced the annoyances that we experience then it might add some fire to your advocacy.

Which is why I'm levelling a Hunter. It isn't an instant process if I'm to truly understand all the issues you're facing.

If there were a way for me to jack my head into some computer for ten seconds so that I could sit up, look into the camera, and say in a Keanu-esque voice, "I know Hunter concerns," then I'd do it... but that technology isn't there right yet. :P

I am not putting everything on hold until I level up, folks. My frame of reference is not as good as it was when I was playing a Druid, no. And while I try to make up for that deficiency, that's why I ask you things and why it may seem that I ask multiple times.

I want to be absolutely certain that I understand where you're coming from. Before, with my Druid, I was able to log in and test a few things. I saw the situation high-end for myself. Because of this, I automatically had that reference that enabled me to enhance my advocation.

I don't have that with you yet, and that's why I'm asking for your patience a great deal. I bring your concerns to the developers as often as I can and with as much understanding as I can muster, but sometimes in order to do this I may need to ask you questions that seem redundant. It may be a question that's asking the same basic thing, only phrased differently. It may be a question seemingly covering something different when the core answer drifts back to something that we've been over before. It can be frustrating, I know, when you're saying "We already TOLD you this!" but know that it does help me.

I'm working to get to your level of intimate understanding of the class. Until then, I need to play the class vicariously through you. ;)
