Caydiem did her Job. She's the Messenger.

We can't help it if her superiors refuse to respond. As good etiquette, we shouldn't put the Messenger under duress.

   Again.

I became your advocate after the patch was locked down. In general, such changes are not going to be made after a patch is complete and already out there on the Test Realm, which is what had happened before I came and started posting. I have explained this before.

Now that I am your advocate, I will be doing my utmost to explain the Hunter's position to the developers. While you can point fingers at me saying I am doing a poor job for changes made before I became the Hunter liaison, I do not feel it has much basis in the truth of the situation.

Yes, it is to find any outstanding, critical bugs, and the Seal of Command revert was a special case. The CONTENT of a patch -- such as class changes -- is generally not going to change once it is locked down unless there is a bug-related problem with the change.

Q u o t e:

1) Why are the changes "locked down" before they even have a chance to be tested?

2) Where was the CM support before 3/8/05?

1) They are tested internally, then locked down and pushed to the Test Realm to catch anything (load-related, especially) that may have been missed.

2) We were supporting classes on a case-by-case basis up til then. I do apologize for you not having an advocate until now, but there were other classes that warranted attention first. With the Druid additions and Warrior rage generation change, both classes are operating much closer to where they should be, and thus now I have a hand free to start work with Hunters. I would love to be in a situation where we could juggle all classes at once when it comes to these "state of the class" discussions, they are intensive and require a fair chunk of time on the developers' end (and they're very busy people). There isn't one developer dedicated to Hunters and only Hunters. They have a variety of specialities and tasks that they must perform, as do we.

That said, I apologize for the lack of interaction with us before early March. And while I cannot fix it in a day or two, I'm going to be doing my level best to be your voice here.

Q u o t e:
Take "Part 1" of our pipedream improvements. Just so happened to come RIGHT when the hunter protest started and not a word has been added to it since. I would wager all the gold in my backpack of another protest started tonight, part 2 would be up in a snap.

Part One had absolutely nothing to do with the protest planning. I'd eMailed the developers about a pet question and they came back with that information. Because I had it, I posted it.

I am here to keep you talking constructively, not quiet. There's a strong difference, and the former allows me to hopefully enact some changes that address your major class concerns.
