Why did you have to nerf my 1.0s speed attack speed to 1.5s? It was the only way I could plausibly PvP with a Beastmastery spec. And ya'll ruined it.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Pets are not meant to keep the attack speed they use when "wild"; the fact that they do is unfortunately a bug that the developer team is working on repairing.

I did not say that they would keep their wild speed. I said that attack speed is an example of the ways pets differentiate. What I said now does not mean that all pets will have the exact same attack speed, so please don't take it to mean that. There will still be differences, however, the wild speed may not be the same as the tamed speed.
Is that more clear?

Somebody asked about attack/run speed ever being changed on 3/9. She replied:
"Approach speed/attack speed is not being changed in this patch."
We pointed out that the given answer didn't address whether it would ever be changed. Her response was:
"I did ask about the attack speed/approach speed variations and was not told either way, but he didn't say it was going to be changing.
My answer was phrased that way because, to be honest, had I phrased it differently it would be used against me at some point should plans change. ;) "
She basically said
1) Attack/run speed wouldn't be changed in this patch
2) She refused to commit about whether they would be changed in the future
Now attack speed WAS changed in this patch, and most likely will be changed even further in the future. Hurrah.
It is true that I said that and I sincerely apologize. I was not informed of this change affecting the Spiderling and, when I asked, I was told no such changes to Hunter pets would be coming with this patch, which is why I posted that.
I am aware my credibility with you is not exactly the highest at this time, but I want you to understand that I am doing the best I can. There may be times when I give you information that things change. I want to have a solid working relationship with you. Beating me up when I go to bat for you will not help matters.
Please, folks, I brought your concerns to the developers on this matter, stressing why you had the Spiders and why this is such a hit to the class. I came back with the information I was given regarding the change. I know it isn't what you want to hear and I'm sorry I couldn't give you that. I wish with every fiber of my being that I could give you nothing but good news. I wish I could give you details on what's happening to your class, and I will keep pushing for those. There are times, however, when I have to deliver a message like this. I know it isn't wanted and I know you're angry about it, but please, let's keep civil.
