Subject: Why no new classes? |

Just wondering why Blizzard decided to go with two new races, but no new classes. You could argue the fact that "Alliance Shaman" and "Horde Paladins" are new, but they are in-fact, not new at all - just a remodel of existing code, with a tweak here and there to make them 'unique' to each faction.
Where is my Shadowknight, or my bard, or my ranger? Is the prospect of balancing a new class too daunting, after going through nearly a year of 'balancing' the current classes?

We would like to continue to focus on class balance and enhancement at this time. New classes are something that could be considered for the future however. With 10 more levels, new gear, new encounters and the accessibility of the Paladin and Shaman to both the Horde and Alliance, it leaves a lot of work that still can be done and will be done on the current classes.

We consulted our psychic astrologist and they said the stars weren't aligned properly so we're waiting for a more fortuitous time in which it will benefit us most.
