I hope blizzard realizes this before throwing us into arenas like that of STV or DM. Range has infinitely greater advantage in these than melee, especially in terms of paladins, warriors and Rogues.
The Arena must have some sort of "Cover" to run behind and bandage/heal for a few seconds, to dodge some cast or to prevent being wailed on. True skill of a melee depends on LoS many tims and has saved me many times in WSG, and to a lesser extent AV.
Try Sometime dueling a ranged caster inside of an a town (set the totem right outside the inn) and see what difference it makes. I have done it with my warlock as well as my paladin.
Finally, blizzard needs to make sure that terrain is truly an obstacle. there shouldnt be any hills that allow spells to be cast through at targets that aren't seen (AV anyone?)

Arenas will have varying geometry to play on. Some may be simple columns, while others may involve more ramps or pathways or other more complex terrain.
The arenas also being about the size of Gurubashi, players won't have vast expanses with which to stay out of reach of a sword arm.
