Subject: Question about characters and Burning Crusade |

Will we be able to use characters that exist prior to the arrival of the Burning Crusade? Or will there be seperate servers for it, etc? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Yes, you will be able to still use your characters. Expansions just add on content to a current game. By buying the expansion you are unlocking new content for your characters to be able to explore as well as allowing yourself access to the two new races and their content.
You need to have bought the expansion in order to get access however but there is no realm separation between it and the core game. If you don't have the expansion you'll be able to interact with the new races and see them as well as the new gear but you will not be able to actually enter into the new content.

Correct. If new equipment found it's way to the AH or someone gave it to you and it was a level and correct type for you, you could equip and use it.

Granted many of them could be deleted to make room as they're mules, but that involves a fair amount of mailing stuff back and forth, etc.
There is no plan to add more character slots. I've suggested strategic deletion to people before if they have their slots filled. Others have suggested starting fresh on a new realm also.

Yes, that would be very likely. They'll probably provide premade 60s in decent blue gear to test the main content, and possibly pre-mades of varying levels above with varying gear levels for different purposes.
I'm not sure but I think I heard mention of people being able to copy over a character in order to test upper content BUT it was just a mention so I can't confirm that. We will definetly need people testing the new Draenei and Blood Elf content as well.
