Subject: Blizzard and the suppression of free thought
I recently came across a post entitled "Why I am leaving WoW for good" or something like that. It was eighteen pages and had inspired good discussion until Eyonix myseriously locked it with no explanation.

I can understand locking posts in all caps, or outright trolling, but IS IT RIGHT to lock a post which generated 18 pages of genuine discussion? Did someone say something SO clairvoyant about Blizzard's faults that Eyonix locked it to prevent people from seeing the bad side of the company?

"Do not post about moderated posts."

This rule effectively gives CMs and moderators unregulated and arbitrary control over every post in the forum. If they find a post irritating, or are in a plain bad mood, they can lock or delete it, no questions asked. This rule stops people from stepping up to question an unjustly locked post. It is Blizzard's forum, yes, but that still does not make it right.

If you're interested in improving upon what's involved with moderating a discussion area that's host for several hundred thousand players, I'd suggest keeping your eyes on our employment opportunity page, Phyrexian. I locked the thread because I was tired of deleting the incredibly inflammatory posts, and it had digressed into several individual arguments which were lost in a sea of troll.

You locked the thread because you're a TOOL!

Feel better now that you've been part of the effort to "fight the man"...

You are not "the man" since you do not have direct input to the game. Instead you are the mouth.

There is a reason I used the quotes, friend. I'm using an expression to make a point -- I'm not referring to myself...
