Subject: Enough with the mini-games (PvP)
Is it too much to ask to have some world encompassing PvP objectives? Ones that mean something. An objective that if under attack would inspire the entire faction to go to protect it. BGs and now the new World PvP seem to be just tacked on mini-games. How much cooler would it be if each faction simply had a world wide buff from each of its faction leader and lost it when the leader was killed? Something like this would be far and away more fun than these mini games we currently get. The above is just one idea. There are many the key is Make World PvP mean something to the WORLD.

To answer the question, yes, it is too much at this point. You speak of the whole faction participating in world PvP. Your comments pretty much spell out a persistent goal to keep everyone focused on a single objective, like a faction leader.

We do not wish to recreate events like the AQ gate openings, where attention and player pressure have negative effects on the realm.

We introduce smaller games to give gradual rise to spontaneous PvP, without the negative effects of having players say "hey, world PvP is happening in this one zone. That's not exactly 'World PvP' is it?

you are trolling more than he is.

sandlol is a way of saying i agree that this BG idea is - on paper kind of silly.

maybe i will get a ban for saying how sandlol is a shorthand way of saying i agree this idea doesnt sound so hot.

sandlol is just another way of saying /signed. It provides nothing more than a tacit agreement. At least muster the strength to add something of your own opinion if you are going to hit reply.

so you come up with alternatives that aren't nearly as good and call it done.

When did we call it done? That was really the decision of the community to call it over before it even started. We've been saying that this is the first step in working PvP into the game in ways which provide spontenaeity, but don't become the consistant and crippling battle that Tarren Mills was.
