Hey, I am fairly new to the game, and I just have a few questions that would really help me out. First off which is the most fun to play PvP or Normal and what are the big differences? And what excatly is PvE? Also if I were to choose one, does it really matter what realm I am on to play? I don't want to really get into the game then realize I picked a bad realm. Any help would be really awesome. Thanks.

Like Lynxx said, it's a matter of preference.
On a PvP realm you have much more risk to take into account when deciding on the areas you need to travel to or quest in. Some people like the constant need to be attentive to their surroundings and the excitement of not knowing what's around the next corner. If you're the type that can get easily upset about being killed or camped by a killer, you may want to consider a PvE realm.
On a PvE realm the danger you face is focused on player vs. environment and all PvP is voluntary. You need to specifically flag for PvP or go into a Battleground. Instead of the risk of being killed by a mob or a player you only have the risk of being killed by a mob.
The best advice for picking a realm would be to visit some of the realm forums and see who is recruiting, who needs people and for what side etc. Keep in mind there is also more than just PvP and PvE to pick from but also RP and RP-PvP if that is more to your style. (RP= Roleplay)
Different people have different ideas of what is fun and it's important to take into account what you want most out of your gaming time.
