I am one of those people who bought the game when it first came out, and did not realize the difference between PVP and PVE servers. After playing for a while I realized that I love PVP. So naturally, since battleground queues on my server are long and world pvp is almost non-existant, I was very excited to hear about patch 1.12 bringing new pvp objectives and server matching.
Cenarius was put into Battlegroup 11, which consists of 5 realms total (all other groups consisting of 14 realms or more). Not only this but all of the servers in the group are PVE realms, with the exception of one RP. Not to mention the fact that these servers are Alliance heavy. This is in no way meant as an insult to the other realms in the group, but I can't help but feel a little jipped.
I realize that Blizzard didn't just throw darts at a board to choose the Battlegroups, and I realize that all Battlegroups are subject to change, so my question is this. What were your reasons for putting these realms together? and do you plan on adding realms to this group before 1.12 goes live.
I suggest we take these 5 realms and put them into other Battlegroups.
Edit: Statistics! Horray!! (alliance:horde ratio)
Cenarius - 73%A:27%H
Lightbringer - 67%A:33%H
Hyjal - 63%A:37%H
Uther - 65%A:35%H
Cenarion Circle - 64%A:36%H
Everyone of these realms have at least 2 times the Alliance as they do Horde. (statistics taken from http://www.warcraftrealms.com/realmstats.php?sort=HordePopulation)
Edit 2: Another problem is the un-diversity of the realms. Having only PvE type realms means the majority of the characters have PvE type gear. PvP servers natually have more players at ranks 10+ with the corrosponding gear. Also players are more accustom to pvp because it is forced upon them, whereas on a PvE server you choose whether or not you wish to pvp.
Edit 3: Thank you Blizzard for your response! I am excited for 1.12 regardless of the size of our battlegroup. We'll still get lower queues I'm sure (since every one of the 5 are old realms)[ post edited by Pizzaman ]

They are the way they are primarily due to hardware configuration.
With that said, Battlegroup 11 has space to grow, should we open new realms or migrate existing realms.
I don't know of any specific plans for migration or opening new realms, but it is very much a possibility.
With the necessary considerations we had to make with this, not all of the groups can be the same or balanced relative to each other.
The path of least resistance tempts all ramblers.
