Subject: Aborted Instance in Mulgore?
Recently while exploring I discovered the Venture Co. Mine in Mulgore. Besides being freakin huge, it is also fairly complex for a cave/mine. Most cave/mines in WoW follow a handfull of templates. If you've been in one, you have been in them all sort of thing.

This one is different. The level of detail, depth, and complexity of its lay out make me think it should have been an instance, or entrance to an instance, but was aborted at some time in development.

Anyone have any info on this?

I can't remember which patch it was exactly, but that particular mini-dungeon was upgraded to what it is now. It used to be smaller and of an older layout, similar to the Northridge area mine, I think?

Anyways, as a starting zone point of interest, it was expanded to cause less player collision. While every portion may not be 'used to it's fullest', it works as an early area that starting players can explore without being packed in too close with other players.
