Subject: I love how Blizzard ignores the PvP forum
It's obvious no one at Blizzard cares about PvP, as evidenced by the badly flawed PvP system, no access to new (NON-UPGRADE) rewards by former rank 14s, and the fact that there's a month and a half old thread with over ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THOUSAND VIEWS and still no Blizzard response.

Actually I just posted a couple/few times there just last week with some information that I had.

It wasn't specifically about the gear issue but it was basically to say that in the patch with the cross-server BGs the curve is at least going to be adjusted to be more lenient so that people can reach the upper ranks a bit easier. This is just a temporary aid for players and that the expansion will have the larger changes to the honor system. This is something that effects all players so does not require purchase of the expansion though the expansion will have additional battlegrounds and world PvP options.

PvP is very much in discussion so the view that Blizzard doesn't care is just a perception issue and not actuality.

Add Band- before aid and that's more like it.

First-aid is maxed. So why not use it?

But really, some will call this a band-aid if they wish but the time that is needed to make the changes that are wanted means that it isn't going to make it out before the expansion. In the meantime the team is doing what they can to try to alleviate the feeling players have of there being too much PvP grind.

Q u o t e:
From reading posts like these (and a few other of your posts earlier in the week, Nethaera), i'm starting to get the impression the "PvP patch" has been pushed back from 1.12 into the expansion itself.

Is 1.12 going to be rogue review only now?

We're still on track for the World PvP additions, Cross-Server Battlegrounds and Rogue review as of right now so don't worry.

As for the current Battlegrounds being updated for the new levels, they will be. We can't discuss more than that at this time however especially in regard to itemization etc. As always we will release all the information we can as we can. I know how many people have been waiting for this kind of information as well.

Q u o t e:
Can you elaborate on any of the changes to the honor system? The primary problem with the grind is unending bonus honor which forces people to play increasing hours to compete. What is planned for a skills based system? How do you plan to measure skill in BGs that stress team objectives while the ranking system is for individuals?

Why not split up ranks for both individuals and teams? Create new BGs for people going for individual ranks that don't stress team objectives. Individual ranks when you have team objectives yet no way to measure one's individual contribution to the team doesn't make sense. These are all issues that will need to be addressed if you truly want to implement a skills based ranking system.

Unfortunately I can't elaborate any further at this time. Once we can release more information we will be though.
