Subject: "The battle is won." (Invasion over on AD) |

So, on Argent Dawn we just hit 150 Battles Won. All of the NPCs dealing specifically with the invasion have poofed, the necropoli outside the capitals are gone, and there's no more scourge invasions.
The only thing left is the Argent Dawn Priests that now give out a Greater Mark of the Dawn (+30 stamina for 1 hour). They have the following text:
"The battle is won. For the time being, the Scourge threat has been pushed back. Our resources can be channled into aiding you, in thanks and preparation for the future."
No warning that the event was about to end. No way to turn in Necrotic Runes after it's over (I'm stuck with 118 of the things). No big "go out with a bang" ending to it all.
Overall, I'm not impressed with the ending of it... if it has truly ended. I could venture that it could just keep restarting until Kel'thuzad is killed, but since all the NPCs have despawned I have my doubts.[ post edited by Odok ]

We will be implementing something soon that will allow you to continue to turn in your remaining Necrotic Runes, don't throw them away! After the celebrations subside, the Argent Dawn will certainly continue commemorating those who fought valiantly to stave off the invasion by accepting the runes in exchange for a reward.

We will be implementing something soon that will allow you to continue to turn in your remaining Necrotic Runes, so don't throw them away! After the celebrations subside the Argent Dawn will certainly want to continue commemorating those who fought valiantly to stave off the invasion. [ post edited by Drysc ]

I'm really having a fun time participating personally, and I got some cool rewards that are going to help me out later.
Comparatively, I think it's easily the best event so far regarding the interactivity, ability to easily track areas under attack, and the actual game play aspects of attacking the scourge and destroying the crystals. The 'invasion' aspect may not have been what you expected, but that doesn't make it a poor event.
Now, if you're just upset because you want more Argent Dawn reputation, then get in line. ;)
