Ok, cast your mind back. We were all there at one point, installing WoW for the first time, before you had ever played; or maybe it was creating a character on a friend's account after watching him/her play. It might be years ago on beta for some of you, or maybe not so long, for others.
What race and class did you first roll, and why did it appeal to you? Then did you stick with that one or start something else? What class did you end up with as your "main"?
Just curious about what makes people choose classes and races.
This nelf hunter was my first choice, because I liked the idea of shooting a bow in classic elvish-ranger fashion. As you can see, I didn't stay with it long. The ranged role just didn't seem to suit me, and running around with a cat that always wanted feeding just didn't turn out as cool as it looked at first. Plus, the quests around Teldrassil and Darkshore got boring quick, and the windchime ambience made me want to smash something.
I ended up happy with my human priest and warrior.

Orc Warrior. I wanted a soldier of the horde, plain and simple.
His name was Mawgust, because he was a mouth-breather :P
However, I became corrupted with fel-energies and turned my attention to the dark arts. Warlocks are more to my liking because they are the true cross-faction, cross-race class. They are worldly travellers and students, unfettered by conventional morality.
