I wish you had 2 stones. One for each continent. To "me" the most annoying part about WoW is all the wasted time travelling.

It's actually extremely quick compared to other games in the same genre. There should always be a feeling that you're in a world, that your travel means something in relation to the size of that world. In World of Warcraft that sense of travel is reduced about as far as we are willing to go in order to make travel as inconsequential as possible. However, keeping some sense of the world in perspective is important. I realize that from a player point of view you think it would be great to sit in Ironforge and have every mob and quest NPC you need spawn right next to you at your whim, but oddly enough that would make the game less fun and engaging.

You may think you want convenience, but convenience works to remove challenge, and challenges are what make games fun.

One of the longest flights in the game is just over 10 minutes (many just a few minutes if not less). Now whether you choose to sit and stare at the back of a gryphon for those 10 minutes, or get up and do something, is up to you.

We are building a forum of extraordinary magnitude.
