Subject: X-Server BGs? Same-Faction opponents please.
Cross server opponents are an excellent upgrade to BG PvP. However, during peak hours they may amplify the queue issues that already exist.

Adding in the option to face same faction opponents if no opposite faction opponents are available would eliminate the queue problem.

Concerns about the ability to communicate with the opposition to exploit honor gain? News flash: Horde and AC can chat via IRC or Voice Comm if they want to.

Concerns about Lore? Simply rewrite it...you have a track record for rewriting it already. You can make the lore fit the game's needs.

Lastly, this change would provide some much needed variety to BGs.

Prior history of this topic tends to support that this will not be happening.

The lore may be flexible but there comes a point in which it becomes too flexible and thus loses its appeal. It's important to keep consistency as much as possible and while the Alliance and Horde have had their issues in the past even among their own, I don't see this becoming a part of the future lore. All that said though, the actual details as always fall into the hands of Chris Metzen and his creative discretion.

While there are ways to get around the language barrier, the intention is that it exists as is. Breaking down that barrier by putting it in the game so that same faction can fight each other in battlegrounds does lend itself too easily to hk farming based on cooperation rather than competition. There is a difference between allowing it to happen in the game consciously versus people finding alternate means to abuse the system.

If you feel the need to fight same faction you can always take some time out to engage each other in the arena. I'm aware that's not what you want and I fully understand your reasoning. After all, who doesn't get a little bloodlust going and want to smack your neighbor for the sake of smacking them?

There are many new things being worked on for both future battlegrounds as well as for world PvP so the need for variety will be addressed before too much longer. (Please don't ask me when because I don't have that answer myself as of yet.)

Q u o t e:
With that thought can we get the Satium in org working? Or are there plans to invlove furter events in these stadiums arond the world?

I know this has been brought up in the past and I am with you on your logic. However there is an alternate thinking at work here.

By having an arena in a multi-faction location (somewhat central location) it forces players to get out into the world and take some risks as well as to socialize a bit more.

If the arenas were live within Org or within major city hubs in general, not many people would bother going out into the world. Many players already complain that too many people just duel out front of their cities and don't get into the battlegrounds to duke it out with the oppossing faction.
