I think this is something that everyone wanted at some point, would it be possible to mask online status. Sometimes you just want to get on and solo while relaxing for a bit, and having people see you as offline would be nice.
If you could have a way of masking your online status as offline that would be great, This is done in Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger and would be great in WoW. Obviously GMs would see all those online, but those with regular permissions would see you as offline.
It would be nice if you could also customize it so that different players would see different things, like on a <HIDE STATUS FROM THIS PLAYER List>, but at this point anything would be nice. I'm sure everyone has run into the problem where they want to get on the game, but are too tried to deal with people, or worry about guild drama, just want to get on for a little bit of time and relax.

Generally speaking, the devs tend not to implement a lot of "privacy protection" devices to keep the social/UI aspects of the game easy, accessible and intuitive. Once we start going down the road of trying to hide players from each other, it begins to run counter to the parts of an MMO that we would like to keep free and open, for the time being.
Should continued harassment become enough of an issue for an individual, the GM staff is more than willing to help build a case for persistent harassment. While we acknowledge the potential for stalking, it is not such a wide-spread issue that we feel a broad game mechanic is necessary.
