Subject: Account protection
A guild mate of ours just got hacked not 1 hour ago. (the hakker even had the balls to tell us in guild chat with our friends char exactly how much nexus and LBS he got from the gear.) We are helping him get his account restored but in the meen time, the hakker has all our names from the guild list. I was wondering whats the best way to protect my and my frinds' accounts aside form long complicated passwords.

That's a bad situation to be in, and I wish your friend the best for a quick recovery process. We do have a page on our Billing support site that details some helpful hints on how you can increase the security of your account. I would highly recommend that everyone read it, and regardless of personal preference for security programs, that it be used at the very least as reminder of security precaution.

Q u o t e:
I'd figure that ghost program you run on all our computers would set you off on stuff like that.

What program would that be? We don't make anti-virus software. If you are referring to any anti-cheating measures that we take, my only response is that no, they don't detect viruses either.

[edit] I should say that the Blizzard Launcher does alert players to programs it may perceive as a danger to the player's account, but it is not an anti-virus program, nor should it be solely relied upon to protect your account.
