Other games by blizzard have rankings. They are based upon Skill, not simply time-sink.
Why is WoW different?
How come someone can lose every single PvP match they ever play and still gain a higher rank than someone who never looses? .... just because the loser has more time on their hands?
Isn't this just inherently wrong?
I understand the need to have rewards for the amount of time you put in, but Rank should be based on skill.

We definitely recognize the need to move PvP rewards and rankings away from time based, and to a more skill based system. The interview with Jeffrey Kaplan from E3 available from, Gamespot I believe, discusses this exact issue. Aside from that it has a lot of other really good info in it.

The ability to login to the forums currently is a bit spotty; I'm amazed I was able to log in at all. Our network operations team is working on it, however there are realm issues that are requiring the majority of their attention.
