Our database administrators are still working to find a permanent solution to the latency issues affecting these realms. Again, we are currently moving our estimate for this issue to be resolved to 11:00 PM PDT tonight, May 20th. The fulfillment of this estimate hinges entirely on the ability for the issue to be located, and a permanent solution being implemented. We will provide another update in approximately one hour.

Update 2:50 PM PDT
Our database administrators have informed us that the database changes are unfortunately taking longer than originally anticipated. We are now estimating the realms will be back up in approximately two hours. We will provide an update in one hour.
Update 1:50 PM PDT
The database software revert is progressing and we are still on target for the realms to start coming back up in approximately one hour. We will provide another update at that time.
Update 12:40 PM PDT
We will be bringing all of the below realms down for approximately two hours. This downtime is to revert database software changes that we believe may be the cause of the issues affecting these realms. These reverts have no bearing on account or character data. We will provide another update in one hour on how the revert is progressing.
Update 11:40 AM PDT
We have brought the five realms back up; however we are fully expecting further issues to be experienced on all of the below realms. Our database administrators are still working to find a permanent solution to the latency issues affecting these realms. Again, we are currently moving our estimate for this issue to be resolved to 11:00 PM PDT tonight, May 20th. The fulfillment of this estimate hinges entirely on the ability for the issue to be located, and a permanent solution being implemented. We will provide another update in approximately one hour.

We have brought down the following realms to prevent the issue from affecting a larger number of realms. We hope to have these realms back up as soon as possible and we are not intending for them to be down for an extended period. The latency issues that have been affecting a small number of realms is still being worked on and we are currently working towards a new estimate for the issue to be resolved by 11:00 PM PDT tonight, May 20th. We will provide an update in approximately one hour.

Our database administrators are still waiting to hear back from our vendors concerning a solution to the lag issues affecting the realms below. We do not expect to hear from them for approximately 8 hours. Please check back at approximately 11:00 AM PDT for more information.

We are still awaiting a final resolution to the latency issues affecting the below realms. Our database administrators are still working with our vendor, and our network administrators are doing everything possible to keep the realms functioning as best as possible until then. As we are currently awaiting further information we will provide another update as soon as it is available. We are currently estimating this issue to be resolved by 11:00 AM PDT, May 20th 2006.

We are aware that the latency issues are once again affecting the below realms. Our database administrators are continuing to work with our vendor to find a permanent solution. We will provide an update on the status of that solution in approximately one hour.

The restarts for the realms below have been completed and the latency issues appear to have improved. Our database administrators are still working with one of our vendors to produce a more permanent solution. We are continuing to monitor the realms and we will provide an update as soon as our database administrators have further information, or if the realms exhibit further performance issues.

The below realms are currently in the process of being brought back up in small groups. Our database and network administrators will be monitoring them closely before making decisions on further necessary measures to address the latency issues. We will provide another update in one hour.

Were currently issuing rolling restarts for all of the below realms. This restart is to apply the first change in a potential fix for the latency issues. We will provide you with another update in approximately one hour.

Our database administrators have contacted one of our vendors and are currently working with them to develop a solution to the latency issues impacting the realms listed below. We restarted one of the realms with the most severe latency, which provided a small window of time with acceptable performance. However, these restarts are not resolving the root issue. This issue could last until 11:00 PM PDT; we will provide you with an update in approximately 1 hour.

We have been able to complete the database changes and the realms are currently live and accepting players. We are cautiously optimistic that the changes made will resolve the latency issues that these realms have been experiencing. Our database administrators and network operations teams will be closely monitoring these realms for any further issues. We will provide updates if any further issues occur.
