how do i re install the downloader? i get an error downloading the new patch atm and i just need to get the downloader again.

I would recommend visiting the Technical Support forums for assistance with any technical issues. I believe we have the Background Downloader available on our FTP for these specific situations. They would know more about the proper procedure and where to obtain a replacement file.
I have been informed that running the Repair.exe contained in your World of Warcraft directory will replace the Background Downloader if it has been deleted.[ post edited by Drysc ]
