Subject: LORE; The Defias Brotherhood
Along with their pervasive numbers in the southern Eastern Kingdoms and the Arathi/Hillsbrad/Alterac area, the Defias have also infiltrated Stormwind, converting dwarf and human alike to the cause of the Defias Brotherhood. While there certainly is no sympathy for them, it certainly seems like there are a great many NPC's that agree with their views. So, I have to ask. Are the Defias Brotherhood taking over Stormwind? Since the nobles all seem to be corrupt, one has to assume that they are. Would they do a better job of protecting the human lands than the boy-king?

The Defias Brotherhood fight a noble cause, but their leader and goal was overcome by madness. Unfortunately, their cause may be lost, but the murder of the innocent is a worse crime than what was done to them.

Their use of superstition and goblin ingenuity to create the Harvest Watchers, a long-time ghost story in Westfall, drove a large portion of the townsfolk away. Those that stayed are likely facing a much worse end.

They will be stopped, and I think only hope can remain that the human race clear itself of the injustices that created such an enemy.

I think it is a rather poetic parallel to our own humanity. Our enemy is not a demonic race, an oppressive deity, or the destruction of our land, but our own greed and corruption.

Q u o t e:
So instead of all the "Alliance is evil Horde is good guys" and subsequent "STFU n00b Alliance is good too" talk about the lore, perhaps their all equal and each race is just a statement on some aspect of human flaws in general?

Well, from a purely basic and purely philosophical standpoint, everything is. We (as humans) can only imagine and design based on our experiences, there is a limitation of all things we do to what we have already done. I don't know if each race is meant to be some commentary on specific flaws in humanity, but it would be necessary that the basic stories and struggles are based off of human nature or human experiences in general. It's the only thing we know.

Let's try to keep the discussion on-topic though; I apologize for nudging it away.
