Subject: ? about the realm transfers after migration
Been trying to post this for a day :P

"Following the migration, we plan to next week offer character transfers from existing realms to fresh realms located at the new World of Warcraft site. These transfers will allow additional players on realms that had been experiencing intermittent performance issues to continue their character progress on the new hardware. This will in effect help us further disperse our population and continue improving performance on our most severely affected realms. "

I noticed on the list, Steamwheedle Cartel, is one of the servers. It was created as "non-transfer realm".

Is it still going to be tranfer free, or is our economy and playerbase dooomed?

Being non-transfer was the one appealing factor that got me to talk 3 of my friends into making the switch too.

Steemwheedle Cartel as well as all the realms previously and currently listed in the sticky are only listed as they were, or are down due to the migration process. The future transfers discussed in the paragraph you quoted will be from existing realms to new realms (and as further clarification the realms previously or currently listed in the sticky are not necessarily those that will be available for transfer). We will be releasing more information as the transfers draw closer obviously, but as far as I am aware the future transfers discussed in the sticky are relating specifically to old realms transferring to fresh, untouched realms.
