Subject: 8 New EST Servers. Why?? |

Over the last few days Bliz opened 8 new servers. All of them are EST
Why?? Some of the ones that opened today are practically empty. Some of the servers released a few months ago are still very low population.
Is Bliz just doing random stupid stuff or do they have a plan. 8 EST? Are a bunch more coming? Are they going to release a huge bunch of new servers and then do mass transfers from the old ones?

Typically new realms will use the time zone in the area in which they are physically located. It may also be a case of there being a need of one time zone over another. I can't say for sure though. I seem to remember Central time zone servers being released almost exclusively for a while there. Where were you then? :)
Also, new servers are not going to fill up within a matter of hours. Of course they're practically empty, they just opened.
