Caydiem, I hope you get around to posting here again, and hopefully clarifying a little peice of info.
I'm a pretty avid forum poster/troll. I was hoping in the revamp that you would make a vast variety of functions availiable. I'm hoping for functions that are more MS Word esque, such as font size/type, HTLM, color, and other such nifty features to make our post stand our more than they currently do.
Do you have any information as to what type of features you guys are looking at? It's not like it has to be some huge secret in regards to the forums, and I'm sure if something isn't implemented, we won't hold you to it.
Edit: Also, can we expect to see a system such as making a new "forum" account to avoid level 1 alt trolls?
The problem with font changes and such is that people can very easily abuse them. We'll probably be looking at other, less potentially eye-searing ways of making one's particular posts distinct.
Trolling in general should be down in volume when the new forums launch, I think; we're after features that will benefit both players and moderators, such as a more robust search function and the like.
I can't talk about it much since we're not yet at that stage, but when we do get there, we'll be sure to share what information we have. :)
