Subject: Traps visible, intended?
Just looking for an answer from blue for this. I could not find anything in the patch notes that said that traps would now be visible. Is this intended or is this a bug? I am hoping bug, people already have an easy enough time avoiding my traps as it is, if they can see them I think my only option (being mostly green equipped) will be to run before the fight starts.

Traps will now be treated as stealthed, not invisible. Therefore, they aren't "visible" as the current scuttlebutt would have you believe, but may become visible the way a stealthed rogue may be.

It is intended and will allow for future design options for how traps work in the game. Hypothetically speaking, you could have dungeon traps with varying levels of stealth value or "difficulty" which could be discovered by a dungeon party. Some may be easy for everyone to see, others may require perception, etc. It opens the potential for additional gameplay for rogues with finding and disarming traps.

Q u o t e:
thats an absolute bull $!@% answer! u could use that to justify any and all nerfs. u have decided to whack hunters with the old nerf bat. fine, but do me a favor and just grow a pair and come out and say we are caving into all the whiners on the forums and nerfing us.

if someone came up to u and spit in your face then said that was so they could do more dinamic things in the future would u thank them?

a nerf is a nerf is a nerf. stop treating us like idiots and just call it what it is.

As much as it appears you want to feel singularly persecuted by Blizzard, it isn't the case. Try actually refuting the logic presented than resorting to your current tactics.

Do you really think that this is dramatically changing the PvP aspect of the Hunter? How exactly is the situation changed? As opposed to having a trap being completely invisible, it might be visible if you are almost on top of the thing. Are you suggesting that, when frenetically running around in a BG, you will actually stop before you hit the trap, then gingerly walk around it?

Please elaborate how this now "gimps" hunters in a PvP context.
