Am I missing something? When I attempt to make a pre-made char, it tells me that a character already exists with the name Hpriest... but when I try and change the name, it insists that a character already exists called Hpriest. What's the deal?

You will copy over one of the pre-made characters, it will ask for confirmation, afterward it will prompt you to change the character name at which time you should enter your own unique character name. It's possible that the name you are choosing to change it to could already taken as well though.
