Subject: Whelps, Drakes, Dragons, and Dragonkin
   A few questions regarding dragons...

Is the general progression in terms of physical maturity of a dragon something like this: Whelp -> Drake -> Dragon?

Are dragonkin simply a sub-species of the draconic races, or are they part of the growth maturity involved in dragon development? If it is part of a maturity level for dragons, when does it occur, regarding the list I made above?

How long is each stage of a dragon's development?

How long would it take for a dragon to reach full maturity (whelpling to full-fledged dragon) to the likes of say Onyxia? (I'm assuming she'd be the youngest, fully-grown dragon.)

Some sort of caste system seems to be set up amongst each individual Aspect. Does it follow some order of Aspect -> Dragon-Leuitenants -> Drakes -> Dragonkin ranks -> Whelps ("citizens")?

Thanks!

Well, I'll answer one of those, at least. ;)

Dragonspawn aren't a progression in the dragon growth cycle. They -- or at least the first dragonspawn -- were originally mortal servants to one of the Flights who spent so much time among the Dragonflights that, over generations, they grew to have several similar features.
