Subject: Voice Communication within the game
I applied to a guild upon my server and was told that in order to join the guild I had to install a specific UI mod and voice chat communication tools upon my computer to use during raids. Members of the guild who do not join the voice chat server are not allowed to stay within the guild after they reach a specific level (50, in this case).

For the lief of me, I cannot fathom why this is. They are ready to cast aside any members of the guild, no matter how good a player they might be, just because they don't log in and listen to the constant foul language and battle orders given over a headset. Seems to me that this type of spoken word during a game such as this helps to break down the grand scheme and overall imagry of the battle, listening to those speak in the different dialets from around my country and others, plus fill the channel with all sorts of OOC and colorful comments.

Anyone else feel this way? Just curious

Don't take it personally. Within all MMOs there are aspects which are player mandated. Certain groups and individuals will find different elements which they deem necessary. While some follow this tract, it is not absolute. Other guilds may not operate on the same principle. I would hope you find like-minded individuals on your realm. Failing that, there are other realms as well.

Personally, I am dumping an old charater and leveling up a new one because of the particular people I want to play with on a new realm.

But that's just me. I have certain incentives.

EDIT-Lolz, not PAL
