Subject: Casual (hmm gonna agree)
I se all these threads and have to agree with the casual guys because Im one of them. I saw the thread that was deleted about abadoning five man dungeons and I think mostly thats y people are pissed. you can make your raid dungeons just make five mans to. Is that really that hard to do??

As we've stated time and time again, not only are we not abandoning our focus of designing smaller dungeons, we've been dedicating hours upon hours of development time into creating them for the expansion. Now I realize that our recent focus on creating medium to large raid dungeons has caused players who have no interest in such to become frustrated, which is a fairly normal reaction whenever content is added to the game which someone can't/won't take advantage of. It should at the very least be understood that new raid content is being implimented because currently, that's the area of the game we feel is in need of content - seeing as it's the area which was lacking upon release.

It's important to respect the fact that others enjoy playing the game and focus on content which varies from your play-style, and realize that most everyone on some level will share interests which differ from your own regardless of how similar you feel you are with another individual, or which category you've decided to place yourself in when describing your play patterns.

This fundamental is one we must take into consideration when creating new content for hundreds of thousands of personalities to enjoy.

Q u o t e:
Heya E,

Are 5 man end game style dungeons part of the new content?

I would love to see a 5 man dungeon (or many!) where i could spend only a few hours and have a chance (however small) of getting some really good endgame sets.

Something like: X boss has a 1-3% chance of dropping a high end set item and a 25% chance of dropping one of the lower ones.

It might take forever to get your drop (considering all the other class drops that are possible) but knowing that you COULD would at least keep you going back.

Maybe it could be broken up like Scarlet Monestary so i could take it in little bites rather than trying to find 5 hours to do it all at once.

Thx =)

Smaller winged dungeons will be a MAJOR focus for the World of Warcraft expansion. Right now, we're focused on implementing the medium to larger size raid dungeons that we felt the game was lacking, and had begun developing several months ago. No play-style is ever forgotten when we design this game. There will always be periods where a sect of players feel left out when they view what's ahead in the immediate future.

Had our current focus been on creating five-man dungeons this last couple months, players that have eaten through Blackwing Lair and Molten Core would be upset that nothing was in-store for them. We're doing our best to create satisfying content for players on all levels, and we're fully aware of all your concerns.

NEW Hardcore raids:
Blackwing Lair
Ahn'Quiraj

NEW MIDDLECORE RAIDS:
Zul'Gurub
20 Man Ahn'Quiraj

NEW CASUAL 5 MANS:
Dire Maul

The fact is, at launch this game already had several more end-game five-man dungeons than forty-man raid dungeons, which should allow your mind to reason why you're seeing more of the latter release through live content updates.
