"I have a shaman, thanks.
I prefer my Rogue. My level 60, PvPing, BWL-raiding Rogue, which I levelled and geared legitimately.
I'm sorry if that constitutes "nothing" in your eyes, but I am not ignorant. Contrary to your belief, there are different playstyles in this game.
Thank you. Post constructively next time, please. :) "
heres me being constructive:
you are a dagger rogue... that goes to bwl...
im a combat (swords) rogue... that goes to bwl
youre a cm, and are getting a new rank of backstab, even though you get the last level of backstab at 60...
im your average joe that pays to play the game, and im getting nothing. my main attack is a level 54 attack...
now considering you levelled and geared legitimately... you would have done so with 40 other people.
you also would more than likely have done so with at least one combat rogue in your raids. surely that one combat rogue, along with the thousands of others that play this game would be crying over the fact that theres a new backstab and no new ss.
once again ill ask, can you imagine the outcry if there was a new fireball and no new frost bolt or vice versa?
this is the exact thing youve done to rogues in 1.9. it is blatantly unfair.
also, you will find that the reason that you dont get rogues posting constructively is because theyre being totally ignored. i feel its the "my letters come out in blue, so my words are more important than yours" problem.
if youd actually take some time out from locking threads that point to your lack of understanding of the rogue class and READ some of the well constructed posts in the rogue forums, you might learn something

There are no feral upgrades for Druids, either.
It's three abilities/spells, Crit. Three. Some playstyle is going to be left out when creating these. I assure you that the developers didn't simply pluck abilities out of a hat when choosing these -- they are all very deliberate choices after a long series of discussions.
I give your feedback to the developers, Crit -- yours as in the players'. I don't give mine. However, while my playstyle is certainly not the most important... neither is yours. I understand your perspective and the feeling that you're being left out, but it isn't as if you're being denied these abilities -- you can make use of them if you pursue them. You choose not to and pursue a different playstyle, well, that's fine, and no one's punishing you for it. Enjoy the many fine one-handed swords in Ahn'Qiraj instead of the backstab drop.
EDIT: Oh, I should mention... there are swords in my Rogue's hands, not daggers. Backstab still has great utility at Vael, and I use it there as well as several other situations in game. You know what they say about assuming. ;)[ post edited by Caydiem ]

Q u o t e: There is a new heroic strike in AQ too.
This benefits some fury wars and some prot spec wars.
MS wars got left out.
They don't seem to care.

I do believe that the new abilities/spells are all for base abilities.
Mortal Strike is a talent, and as such wouldn't be considered.

I don't know the precise reasoning, Argaven -- it may well go into expansion advancement planning -- but you have to consider what Sinister Strike and Eviscerate are. Sinister Strike doesn't scale hardly at all, and Eviscerate is just flat damage. What are the complaints with these two abilities? Not merely that they're not as effective as you progress, but that they don't scale well with gear. New ranks wouldn't really solve that issue; the gripe would still arise when, say, Naxxramas was released.
I don't know the specific reasons, and it's 1:30AM so I can't really get them at the moment either, but I'll ask.

Q u o t e: the problem of our CM's not knowing ANYTHING about what people actually want might be solved if the class forums were moderated.
but as it stands, you lot know NOTHING about each classes concerns/problems.
there are countless bugs with every class that have been in the game since day 1 that are yet to be corrected. if you actually READ the class forums you might find out about some of them.
caydiem by claiming deadly poisons were useful youce lost the respect of 90% of the rogue population.
and you lost the last 10% when you said you used it for pvp.
Crit... when I play any character, I do so from two angles.
The first is simply fun play. I primarily play as a normal player would.
However... as a Community Manager, I can't simply dismiss a skill as "useless". Thus I seek ways to utilize every single skill a class has when I play the game. Do I use Deadly Poison often? No. When I'm out to do straight damage, it's Instant; if I'm in PvP, you can bet that Crippling is up primarily. But there have been situations where it's helped. I admit to even using Wound Poison once or twice, but the situations where that benefited over Instant are few and far between, heh. :P
However, you don't speak for the Rogue community. I'm sorry if I lost your respect by playing in a slightly different way and seeking a means to use all the tools available to me. No, I'm not active in the Rogue community right now. Honestly, my attention is focused on Paladins at the moment, since they're in the process of getting talent tweaks. Note I'm not active in the Druid forum, either. Once that's done, I'll have time to jump around a bit more.
