Blizzard check it out, more than 500 people, i didnt start it, btu I came accross is while searching on the net, im an aussie and I agree with them all. Why bother putting up an oceanic prefered server when its not located in an oceanic country?
Alot of the comments on this petition seem to relate to people quitting wow because of the fact we here in oceanic countries dont get a good ping on your servers.
I know you have said in the past that you wont put one up in australia, but I urge you to reconsider as 500 or so customers will come back if you do.
Alot of the bigger guilds in most realms are full of australians and other players from oceanic countries, I know for a fact blackrock is dominated by australians, as it is promoted by most people as an australian prefered realm. Gilneas, the realm I play on has a 3-400+ guild called "Aussie Alliance" and thats just on the alliance team.
Just look at the facts and maybe put a poll up on the forums or something and advertise it? You are opening up new realms all the time, so why not pay a little bit extra and open on in Australia or New Zealand??

I have answered this several times.
It is not economically feasible to open local realms in Oceania at this time. I obviously can't go into specific details regarding this, but there's more to local realm service than simply setting up a box.
The Oceania-preferred realms are the compromise reached after speaking with the vocal Oceania community over a period of weeks. When the current iteration of said realms was posed as an idea to said community, the majority supported it.
It's dark.
