Long story short, I like many of you have paid hundreds of dollars to play this game (retail box, monthly payment, cost of internet connection). I expected that there would be some sense of quality assurance in the game.
Specifically, I am talking about the BGs...For intance AV. On our server there is little to no chance that ALLIANCE ever wins...and this has been going on for months before the last "fix" to it. On BLACKROCK, our main problem is that our GMs allow 25-50% of our team to be afk in the BG.
If this happened & if someone who got reported for doing it would actually get kicked out of the bg, i would be ok with that. At least then we would have a chance that someone would come in & might be willing to help.
Here is a screenshot of the ppl afk in the AV:

I reported all these players.... the response was honest but apathetic.

Apparently blizzard has the attitude that we, as PAYING PLAYERS, need to police our own game...
OH yeah, we must do this by reporting everyone we see afking in bgs to the GMs...which after doing so for over 30+ games, I have yet to see anyone removed, banned or even warned. I have even asked ppl that openly admit that they are there just to exploit the system if they have been talked to by a GM after I reported them...of course, no, no GMs even talked to any of the players.
So after going thru all the trouble of doing what I can to make the game even remotely fair for both sides, I am being told once again that I need to pay blizzard in order to have the right to police thier game & then watch as they do nothing to respond...
Does anyone else have a problem with this? Am I wrong for thinking that by paying for the game month after month that I should EXPECT some Blizzard to monitor the environment? Or At least react against those that are reported...instead of telling us that they are "investigating" (which by this time WE ALL KNOW YOU, BLIZZARD, ARE NOT INVESTIGATING!!)?????????????????????????????????????///

The misconception that we don't "care about our players" simply because we can't correct a problem or resolve a specific dissatisfaction in an immediate fashion is one that is impossible for us to escape at times. The fact is we are dedicated to making improvements to design in areas that are frustrating for our player base. World of Warcraft is a massive online role-playing game and it takes time to explore the impact that a change may have once introduced. In addition, beyond the realm of simply contemplating the affects of design change to an MMO it takes actual development time - which means we have to create a priority list that tackles issues in an order we have determined using our best judgment.
I'm honestly sorry that you're frustrated with this specific area of the game. We are looking to make several improvements to Battlegrounds to ensure the likelihood that your time there equates to a positive experience. You will need to be patient.

Q u o t e: Is it just me, or did this sound like a pre-generated form letter response?
I'd assume it's just you.
