Subject: The truth, there are *no longer* class reps
I think the issue we have here is that many of us remember when you *were* class reps and suggestions that CM's were not class reps fly in the face of our memory.

Here is an example, if this does not read that Eyonix *was* the class rep, then I appoligize for my inability to comprehend in advance,

Subject: Regarding Treatment of your Liaison
Hello everyone.

Recently there has been a great deal of hostility directed towards the online community representative that has been your champion behind the scenes. I want to address this, speak with you about it, and get it to cease.

I have personally witnessed Eyonix's efforts in getting any and all information for you in response to the questions you've posed. Since his original feedback response, he has given you a followup, researched the intended function of Dispel against Enslave Demon, and updated you in a variety of other posts. Currently he is working on information surrounding the Demonology talent tree.

In short, he has been nothing but a stellar advocate of your concerns. In his meetings and discussions with the developers he has voiced your issues in a manner that struck to the heart of the matter, and he has returned with what information he has been given. Perhaps it isn't enough for you, and I do apologize if that is the case, but that is no fault of Eyonix's. Sometimes we simply don't have juicier information to give.

That said, it has unfortunately gotten to the point where I must ask that you stop interjecting Warlock concerns in unrelated threads and harassing Eyonix as he responds to issues. This is against forum policy and we will be taking action in accordance with what is written:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q u o t e:
Harassing or Defamatory
This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

* Insultingly refer to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

* Be given a warning and/or receive a temporary ban from the World of Warcraft forums, depending upon severity
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope it does not come to that, however, as we would prefer to have a civil, open forum with you folks on the class. Let's keep things constructive and respectful, please. Thank you.

Now, things may have changed (clearly they have) but why not say "we no longer have responsibilty for specific classes" rather than suggest the "no class rep" position has been the historical standard?

I guess you could argue that "Your Liaison" does not mean class rep, it would be a tough argument but hey.

And what exactly would be the distinction in this suggested change of stance? Would this merely affect perception or is there a deeper change you are looking for?

While Community reps have been occasional advocates of class concerns, we have never been bound to a particular class. I think this will remain the way it is for some time.

The reason why we do not like the term "class representative", Hiroko, is it carries a great deal of baggage from other games. Now, you personally may not hold that definition, but that's your personal stance; there are many others who have a far different idea of what "class representation" entails. You can see the proof in the angry people posting when one of us without a level 60 in that particular class posts on their forums.

Regardless of your personal definition, that baggage still exists with the term, and that is why we stress that the term does not apply to us.
