Subject: Heres a question I would like answered.
As an engineer I am able to make some goggles. What puzzles me is that in order to make the goggles it requires leather, yet when the goggles are crafted their listed as cloth armor. can someone please tell me how this is possible when no cloth is used in making the goggles.

Most "leather" class armor is considered thus because it is bulkier than cloth -- leather armor is heavier and does not allow for quite as much freedom of movement as cloth (though still head and shoulders above mail or plate).

However, goggles aren't leather helms; if they were, your question would have some grounding, but the leather used is simply for the straps holding the goggles to your head. The overall effect is just as light and free as most cloth headpieces, and as such is considered cloth despite its use of leather.

Q u o t e:
Why can't cloth wearers use leather headbands? Too bulky?

Goggles sit comfortably on the nose and are less intrusive than the leather headband, which is no doubt rather thick.

Siraz, again, I explained why they are in the class they are.

And as for the Bloodvine... have you seen that thing? It's extremely bulky. No wonder it's leather. :D

Working late tonight are we Caydiem, or is this just recreational studies. Anyway, thank you for the response, much needed, the problem sort of puzzled me, but just brushed it off as not important.

Well, the gameplay reason is naturally wanting every class to be able to use them, but... y'know, pseudolore is still there. ;)

And I should be asleep. Just won the levelling contest, though. ;)
