I'm curious to know who is advocating our class issues to the developers. Has it truely been almost a year and we have no vocal CM with a level 60 mage? I understand they can't post in here every day but after months without any kind of constructive information it feels like we have no advocates among the CMs. Since the vast majority of mage issues stem from end game conerns, its disheartening to hear that the one CM we seem to get any reposnses from hasn't even reached it yet.
Who is in our corner? And when can we expect feedback on these upcoming possible changes?

Eyonix has a high level Mage.
Many of us play Mages at middling levels.
You've got several Mage specs -- including Fire -- in your "corner".
Regardless, I'd like to remind you that there aren't class representatives among our team. :)

Q u o t e: Go to see no one stuck it out to the end. Guess it wasn't that fun.
Eyonix did. :P
I have a mid-level Mage. My ultimate goal is to level every single class to 60, but that takes time. One day. :)[ post edited by Caydiem ]

I would like to remind the Mages who are complaining about a "lack of representation" on the team of a few facts.
Fact #1:
We don't give the developers our feedback. WE GIVE THEM YOURS. What does that mean? It means that the devs don't ask us our personal opinion of the class and we don't give it. Now, where playing the class does come into play here is it gives us a frame of reference. It allows us to understand and relate to your position. We know what you're talking about when you complain about fire resists, for example, because we know well that you can spec fire, your damage often directly relies on fire-based spells, and there's a lot of fire resist gear out there due to the fire-based damage in high-end dungeons. We're not stupid -- we can use our knowledge of the class to understand what you're saying and thus present that in a knowledgable fashion to the developers. It's not a replacement for your experience, but I'll be perfectly honest with you -- you're never going to get a Community Manager who has experienced all your personal gripes and pains in the game. That's why giving constructive feedback is so important. We hold the positions we do because we're good at relating such feedback. The developers may not agree with you, but that does not mean your concerns are not being heard. Those are two different factors.
Fact #2:
The developers of the game play every single class; there are 60s of every class among their number. Yep, every one. They don't "just play Shamans". Every single class is represented at level 60 by someone on the development team -- the people who make the game. We're only 6 people; the developers are more numerous, and there's not one class left out in the cold. Any claims that "no one at Blizzard plays your class/understands your class" is incorrect, plain and simple.
Are we clear?

Q u o t e: Then what did Tyren mean by this:
I'd ask that you speak with the warrior class rep for warrior specific issues.
?
I explained this on the Rogue forums, but for your benefit...
Tyren doesn't deal with the forums much. He was not fully aware of how we handle feedback to the developers in this fashion, particularly since we asked him to field Rogues specifically due to his expertise. It was a misunderstanding that was corrected.

Q u o t e: So Tyren is 'fielding' rogues.
Rogues have a class rep and stiff s to everyone else?
No, Tyren is not a class representative.
I "fielded" Druids for a while. Fangtooth "fielded" Paladins for a while but Eyonix is doing it currently.
There are no class representatives. We all field class feedback at varying times to varying classes.
Understood? :)

Q u o t e: k, problem with the Devs and the GMs. is that they dont have normal gear. i have not once seen a GM without a legendary weapon. ive seen ashbringer on a warrior. sulfuras on a shaman, and that epic 1h on a paladin... like wth? of course they are not going to have a correct view of what they are researching when they are total pimpsauce. try playing in gear that is obtainable in a month, not gear that takes one year to get.
They do not twink out their characters. GMs are not developers. Every piece of gear they have has been gained legitimately through play, the same way you do.

You misunderstand me.
The developers play anonymously in the game. They don't run around with a <GM> tag on -- that was a GM, and while I'm not sure what he was doing, it's not how we play. We play as players with all the privileges players have. That's it.
