Why cant we have 2 sets of talents to choose from without having to spend massive amounts of gold to play different situations?
I am currently a fire mage and enjoy both pvp and pve, however i find it hard to excell at both. I am asked to join pvp groups often, but when it comes to MC, Onx, or BWL, i find that frost mages are taken first and i am left out. As a fire mage i can do the instant damage that pvp requires and can usually kill someone before i get 3 shotted. A frost mage, although can slow his opponent doesnt have the damage output to kill and usually dies first. This never happened before the last couple patches when blizz decided to gimp our armor and empower melee.
The resists of these high level instances is not balanced so that both fire and frost mages can do well. I dont understand why they dont make half the bosses fire resistant and the other half frost. It seems like you cant successfully play all of wow unless you spend massive amounts of gold to respec. everytime you play a different area of the game.
It would be nice to have a button to switch back from 2 chosen talent sets. Even though it would look funny having a frost mage named fierstar.
Where is the balance, almost everything in the world of warcraft has fire resist, even opponents in pvp. where can i find more nature resist gear, its almost nonexistant in wow.
All im asking for is a little equalitly in the wow matrix.

I brought this up with the developers, and they said that they do have some ideas in the works about how to improve this.
The developers are also confident that Frost Mages can do very well in PvP. They may not be able to kill other players as fast as a Fire specced Mage, but they are every bit as effective in their own way.
