Subject: An interview with a GM
Well, for a while now, I've had a goal to do an interview with a Game Master, host it somewhere, and maybe get the community spotlight. So I tracked down a GM and talked to him about the idea - and he informed me that GMs aren't allowed to be interviewed. (I had been hoping my idea was a novel one. D':) He also said that I should ask a CM in the general forums about the issue.

So I am. Is something like this feasible? I can see reasons for it not being allowed - you want a ruling body like the GMs to remain fairly anonymous - but at the same time, I think it would be something kind of interesting that would shed a bit of light on what seems (to me at least) to be a very tucked away group of employees.

I'll be at Blizzcon. I wonder if I could interview a GM there. That'd be fun too.

Heh, I think when the GM in question said "Ask the CMs" it was a suggestion to interview us rather than the GM staff. As far as I'm aware, what they've said is correct -- they tend to avoid interviews. At BlizzCon, they'll probably refer you to PR folks rather than submitting to an interview. ;)
Carpe Caydiem.
Seize the CM.
