Subject: How worthwhile are +Defense Items?
I searched the boards, but didn't get any hits about using items with +Defense on them.

How useful are these? Do they protect just against melee hits, or spells as well?

For example, if a piece of clothing has +8 Defense on it, does that make me as hard to hit as someone 1.6 lvls higher? As my druid and warlock, both in their 30s, get pounded by elites 6 lvls lower, how much +Defense do you have to have to make it worthwhile?

Any info would help. Thanks!

If you are going to be the main one taking melee damage, Defense is a vital stat for you. The Defense stat helps in all areas of defending against physical attacks, so tanks need to have as much of it as possible, while still maintaining a high Strength and Stamina.
