Subject: question - any help appreciated
Hey all, to make a long story short - I had a 60 character as my wife had a 40ish character and had to leave WOW for a while due to a move and job change. Basically, my main mistake was letting my wife handle the cancelling of the accounts. Instead of cancelling the account - SHE DELETED OUR CHARACTERS!!! (Que Jaws Dropping Now). So after a mild heart attack and a little sobbing - ive had to reroll.

My question is is there anyway to get my old characters back?

Has anyone ever had any success with getting a character back when something like this has happened?

What is the right route to go to look into this matter and get an answer? I forget the email address.

Thanks for the help in advance - I appreciate any help or input i can get.

Mal

Submit a petition in game. GMs should have no problem restoring the characters. Keep in mind, they will be restored to the state which they were at when deleted.

Q u o t e:
I just wanna know... if he's restored at the state he was when deleted, then why's his stuff all missing?

In cases of compromised accounts, characters usually have items sold/destroyed, then deleted. Some people sell off items, then transfer money to alts, then delete characters. They had no items when they were deleted. Therefore, they have no items when they are restored.
