This is a common misconception. The reality is that dev team members like us have been doing this for many months, all the while thinking... "man this is so broken".
Another common misconception is that we swing the nerf bat wildly, and without first doing what we can to take into account what other things a class needs adjusted in positive ways to offset a nerf (or at least trying as much as we feel we can).
