Subject: Tactful way of quiting a guild |

What is the best way to quit a guild but not have every member hate you and ban you for life? I only ask because my newest character joined this guild because it seemed like a great idea. Well it is on ED and i really would like to get into the guild that will be doing lots of end-game content. Now the guild is being bashed from everyone, but they still may be the guild to do MC/Onxy runs...How should i quit without pissing them off??
(of course it is not this character...)

I can't offer you any advice that has not already been posted, but I did bring up the idea of quitting a guild without a message being sent out to the entire guild with the developers. I will let you know if I hear anything back about it.
