Subject: Binary Spells made up yesterday!
In an attempt to describe the effect of +hit to spell bonuses on items, Eyonix described frost spells as "binary." Where did this term come from?

Googling World of Warcraft with "binary spell" didn't come up with much.

Nor is it described on any of Blizzard's game mechanics pages:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/spells.html
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/resistances.html

Was this term simply fabricated to cover for the fact that frost spells remain irrevocably broken? Is it to cover for the fact they're too lazy to program partial resists?
