"Easily answerable". Hoo. There's such a can of worms.
All too often I see "This is a simple question, surely you can answer it." And on the surface, in the mind of a player, it certainly does seem simple.
It's often deceptive, though.
The Community Team answers questions with the information we have available. Every day we ask the developers questions from the forums, adding to our knowledge and responding to what we can. What seems like a "simple question" that will take "a few seconds to answer" can in fact be something that:
a) we cannot voice a stance on at this time for future content or PR reasons;
b) is something on which we honestly have no "official" information to give;
c) is something we've answered quite a few times, and players can address as well as we can.
You'll find that the majority of our posts are not the silly fluff you claim is the norm, but rather posts geared toward informing the community.
Now, we do post "fluff" on occasion, yes -- and you're bringing this up just after the recent bit of it has passed -- but it's community building. It shows people that these "blues", these representatives, are humans with a sense of humor, people they can relate to and who are, at the heart of it, gamers just like them. It's a deceptively important part of community management, and as I've been managing this community for over a year, I've seen the long-term positive effects of such an act.

Q u o t e: You know what would be nice, though is maybe if you guys went and looked at a post that it would show like a grey Blizz sign or something..
So that people knew you had looked at their post, but were not able to answer it.
I've heard this suggestion countless times, and there's a very good reason why it's not implemented.
Well, there are two suggestions, really:
1) Just POST the equivalent of "I've read this" so we know you're there; and/or
2) Have some indicator that you've read a post.
Both of these have the same fundamental drawback -- we wouldn't have the time to actually get you any answers at all due to the fact that we'd be so busy continually reaffirming these methods of "I'm reading!"
There are thousands upon thousands of legitimate threads posted on these forums each and every day.
If either system were instituted, there would immediately be a hue and cry, and more spam, from those who didn't get their indicator that their thread had been read after five minutes passed.
Our going to developer meetings would result in absolute bedlam on the forums, as no new "Blizzard read this" indicators would be cropping up and they'd know without doubt they were unsupervised.
We'd have no time to check with the developers, no time to write anything of substance, because we'd be too busy handing out acknowledgements that we exist and are reading.
A system like this will likely never be put in place, therefore, because it would shortly become completely meaningless and counterintuitive.
I understand your desire for such a system, but understand this: if we haven't responded to your post, know that we're not ignoring you, but we simply have nothing to add.

Q u o t e: I used to have that problem. Pop is bad for you, make a switch to Ice Tea and Orange Juice like me. When you wander over to the vending machne don't press E4 and get Mountain Dew, press A3 and get Lipton Ice Tea.
I don't pay for my Dew and I don't like the taste of Iced Tea. :P

Q u o t e: So you're the equivalent of Scott McLellan withoutt he disgusting lies and major spin?
Great. Good to know CMs are appeasers of the masses and not conduits to change.
Er. Apparently you missed the whole "questions to the devs" thing. Also, understand that I was referring to only one portion of our job, not the whole thing. We do talk with the developers often about feedback posted on the forums.
