I hope I get an official Blue response to this.
My question is about how to report either the rumored gold/item sellers who /whisper you, or the way-over-the-top offensive players who scream obsenities in general chat.
If you want to report someone for whatever type of offensive language use, do you have to also take a screenshot to prove it? Or does the mechanism of the reporting automatically grab a few pages of chat?
Here's a for instance: Last night I was running around and someone was just shouting a steam of obsenities. Now I'm not a prude, and sometimes, in some situations, a particular curse word is the only proper way to express yourself, but this was an over the top, cannot ignore pretty vile tirade.
I was tempted to report it as this was on an RP server, and I always figured if you go to the trouble of starting and leveling a character on an RP server, then by damn, you expect roleplaying not some guy spouting filth over and over and over and over.
But I was stumped by this question. Does the reporting tool automatically grab enough chat to verify what it is I'm reporting, or is it just my word against his unless I do a screenshot too? And if I DO need to do a screenshot and then log out and mail the 'proff' in seperately, then it's just WAY too much trouble to report verbal offense.
So please Blue, which is it?

If you catch anyone violating the rules, report them to the GM department in game. Be as detailed as possible in the report. It is also helpful to grab a screen shot or two, in case the GMs ask for one. If they do, they will provide you with an email address where you can send the screen shots to.
