In an earlier thread you said
Q u o t e: We've been taking a great deal of steps internally to streamline our patching process, and a lot of progress has been made.
I know this means little to you unless you see a notable improvement in time, but understand that 1.7 is a big patch. There's an entirely new dungeon, a new Battleground, a new world event, and tons of changes. This requires a great deal of testing, which we've done, and we plan on updating the test realm soon to review the latest fixes to the 1.7 patch.
The short answer is 1.7 has taken a long time because we would rather fix the bugs while it's on Test than give it to you as-is.
I for one could care less about the patch, take your time make sure it's good then bring it out when it's ready.
I do have one question though. You say that you are working 'to streamline our patching process' Is this affecting the weekly downtime?
Todays downtime was very short relative to what we are use to so I was wondering if there was a change to that process that facilitated the speedyness in which the realms went back online and if it is related to this streamlineing.

Nope, that's unrelated but naturally something else we've been working on. ;)

Q u o t e: Grammar Police should know you never end a sentence with a preposition.
Previously, I have been taken to task for avoiding that very thing. :P
It's something else on which we're working, if that helps. :P
