Subject: Lore Question: Tauren and Druids
I was "flipping" through those chapters of the storyline of Warcraft, and I don't think it mentions anything about Tauren. And everytime they mention "Druid", they talk about Night Elves. Were Tauren Druids just introduced in this game, or do they actually fit inside the storyline, and are just as powerul as Elves?

Thanks....I"m very curious!
It's "D-A-C-L-A-T"
Get it right!!!

As a Tauren Druid yourself, you should visit Hamuul Runetotem's tent on Elder Rise and read up on the history of the Shu'Halo. It's fairly enlightening. :)

While I'm not saying one way or another on the Ysera/Elune debate, I thought I'd bring up one interesting tidbit:

The Tauren state that the mother of Cenarius in their lore is Mu'sha. Mu'sha is the moon... ;)

Q u o t e:
Its funny how people make comments about things, without ever seeming to have read any of the plethora of information available lore-wise in regards to what they are talking about. Heh.

I would suggest your read:

http://www.blizzplanet.com/modules.php?action=Content&pa=showpage&pid=121

as it is what can be found in books in Elder's Rise in Thunder Bluff, and is historical texts found in WoW, which can thus be assumed to be placed on purpose and thus accurate.

There is comment made to how she tore her eyes out, and no longer uses them, and Ysera is known for keeping her eye's shut, *hint #1*. It is known to the tauren that the earthmother wed Malorn, and beget Cenarius, and we discover in The Sundering that it was Ysera, so it is quite clear Earthmother = Ysera, its not so much as hint as just straight out telling us this. Elune is the Moon Goddess, and with her support Night Elves have more power at night...Ysera is the Aspect in charge of a realm of DREAMS... Need it be spelled out for you?

Mu'sha, the Moon, was Cenarius' mother in Tauren lore -- not the Earthmother.

Q u o t e:
Mu'sha loved Apa'ro and conceived a child by him. The child, a demigod some would claim was born in the shadowed forests of the night. He would be called Cenarius and walk the starry path between the waking world and the kingdom of the heavens.

There be the relevant quote. The distinction made by the Tauren is quite clear.
